Ask Questions; I’ll Answer Them

It’s a hard time to be transparent, but to me, that is the most important time to be so. If we shy away from transparency when things are rough, then it’s not really a core value, it’s just a marketing tactic. I don’t think I could look myself in the mirror if that were true, so I invite you to ask hard questions, easy questions, whatever’s on your mind and whatever this post left you wanting. – Rand Fishkin

I agree with Rand.

Rand is one of a very short list of real people in the world I’ve come across of whom I respect and trust completely. And that’s weird, because I’ve never met him personally. I’ve only listened to his podcasts and interviews and watched him helm MOZ over the years (now at SparkToro) , yet I fully trust him.

He is the epitome of vulnerability and transparency. The real deal.

Thanks Rand, for your contribution to my personal education in the ways of life, you are truly one audacious fuck! – tomRmalcolm

As Rand stated above, I’m also happy to answer any and all questions. Even negative critiques are often more practically valuable than positive ones.

(but more damaging to my fragile ego, but that’s another story)

If you’re giving kudos, well alright, …uhhuhhmmm, that’s nice, a little to the left, more left…t-there it is, yeeesssssssaaaahhhhh…oooo, yup

But whichever, let me hear it from your heart, from down deep.

Love,
Tom
